Brief Description of Project:  

Design and fabrication of a 2-ton and a 5-ton gantry crane.  The 2-ton crane spans 12 ft (~10 ft clear span) and has telescoping legs to allow height adjustment between 11-1/2 ft and 15 ft.  The crane utilizes 4 swivel casters for mobile use.

The 5-ton crane has a clear span of 16-1/2 ft, with an overall span of 20 ft.  The legs have a fixed height of 12 ft.  The crane is mounted on 4 swivel casters for mobility.

Structural analysis was performed with ALGOR Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
