Brief Description of Project: Design and install a structural platform in the mock hangar bay onboard the ex-USS SHADWELL measuring 44 feet wide by 70 feet long at an elevation of 12 feet. The structural platform was to be self supporting at temperatures up to 1000°F. A hinged ramp provided one access to the top of the platform. Also, a vertical ladder and an inclined ladder provided additional access to the platform. A suspended catwalk was included in the design. |
